Ali is a senior originally from Calabasas, California. She was the 2020 president of USC’s Delta Gamma Chapter. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business Consulting. On campus she is the manager of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. To her, the most important part of being a Delta Gamma is “growing as a part of our sisterhood and being the best version of yourself. Being a DG has opened me up to so many schools of thought. At Delta Gamma you do not just have mentors to guide you but also your peers.” To her, the most important part of being a Delta Gamma is “growing as a part of our sisterhood and being the best version of yourself. Being a DG has opened me up to so many schools of thought. At Delta Gamma you do not just have mentors to guide you but also your peers.” She described her leadership style as: “I have a dual leadership style. I am compassionate and empathetic but also have to be able to bring women higher and call them out to reach their full potential. A good leader maximizes those around them and brings out the best in them.”
The legacy she wants to leave as a former Delta Gamma president is one who was constantly accessible, who pushed for positive cultural legacy, and who constantly reminded the house and pushed them to act with their core values in mind. Her advice to girls thinking about rushing is : “Do it and when you go through recruitment just be your full authentic self. If you try to act like someone you are not a house they will be missing out on your authentic self. Be who you are and I promise that the girls who are talking to you enjoy your presence and time. Pretend you are talking to a friend.” Her advice to future Trojans is “There is going to be a moment when you are making a decision of who your future self is going to be. It is completely okay to be someone you did not think you were going to be. No matter who you end up being, stick to your values and know that everything that happens is going to work out for your definition of success.”
