ON CAMPUS ORGANIZATIONS
GENERAL
I am that Girl USC
USC alumna, Alexis Jones, founded I Am That Girl as a community for female students to come and talk about the things that mattered to them. IATG became a space and time for women to support and encourage each other to be who they are. Today, USC’s IATG is a community of exceptional, like-minded and caring individuals. We host weekly meetings where we discuss our vulnerabilities, insecurities, and how we want to grow!
PROFESSIONAL
Lean in USC
Lean In USC is a student organization aiming to build community and to empower young women to lean in to their full potential. They accomplish these goals via speaker events and panels, their MentorHer program, their RecruitHer job fair, and by curating discussion for the greater USC community.
With their community, events, and programs, we strive to develop students into leaders and young professionals. For women, ambition has sometimes been seen as a dirty word. They are here to change that: Lean In wants to encourage young women to take risks, break barriers, and create success on their own terms without ever apologizing for it. We should never have to apologize for being ambitious and thinking outside of the box.
