Michelle Plantan received her Bachelor of the Arts degree in Communications from the University of Southern California. She served as an Annenberg Advantage Mentor from 2015 to 2016, providing her Annenberg student mentee with feedback and guidance. Michelle has interned at NBC Universal as an Entertainment Publicity Intern and has also interned with Double A LLC Public Relations & Marketing as a Marketing Publicity Intern. Throughout the past several years Michelle has obtained a great amount of experience in social media strategizing and innovation.
Currently, Michelle works as Head of Social for ØPUS United, a Marketing and Advertising agency that describes itself as a “collective of executives, athletes, strategists, creatives and musicians who understand how to power world-class brands and generate world-class revenues”. Prior to working at ØPUS, Michelle worked for Clique Brands for 7 years. Throughout her time Michelle served various roles at Clique, such as, VP of Social and Innovation, Executive Director of Creative Strategy and Social Media, Social Media Director and Content Strategist, and Senior Manager; Content and Social Strategy.
In 2020, Michelle was nominated for a Webby for “Best Social” in Fashion and Beauty. Clique Beauty was also awarded Most Innovative Publisher during her time as Executive director of Creative Strategy.
